Patrick is widely recognized as a builder of communities within the international legal profession, and an innovator in legal media, publishing, training, coaching, events and marketing consulting.  He was recognized in 2019 by Asia Law Portal as one of the top thirty people to watch in the legal profession and was the driving force behind the development of a highly successful in-house legal counsel community with chapters in London, MENA, South Africa, India, ASEAN, Japan and China.   Patrick’s career began with Haymarket Publishing and includes being Marketing Director for Asia for international law firms Shearman & Sterling and White & Case; Managing Director of Asia Law & Practice, Asia Publisher of IFLR, and board member of the Hong Kong-based subsidiary Euromoney (Jersey) Limited. 

Patrick is a photographer and author; he majored in English and History of Art at Leeds University, and holds a Masters degree in Chinese History, Politics and Anthropology from SOAS, University of London.  He is also a certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and CCE-accredited Emotional Intelligence Coach.  As a member of the SIPAC advisory board, Patrick draws on his extensive experience and expertise to help guide the further development of SIPAC’s Sino-Global professional community.
